Introduction

As a Lead Player, you are mainly interested in playing scales and melodies on your instrument, which you do with scale positions.

If you are improvising over a chord or chord sequence, you first need to work out which scale you should be using.  Then you need to find convenient scale positions for playing it with.

You generally need to know your scale positions quite well, so that you can switch between them without breaking the flow of the music.

ChordWizard gives you a flexible environment for exploring scale positions for any scale.

You can then conduct guided interactive practice sessions to help you memorize the scale positions and get your fingers coordinated so you can use them instinctively when playing.

This guided tour looks at all of these functions and how they are used.
