Sound Accessories |
The Sound Accessories window is opened by the Accessories button in the Sound page of the Workspace Options window.
It controls voices and volumes used for the Metronome tools and for the metronome and harmony chord sounds for practice sessions in Scales View.
Controls
Accent Voice
Normal Voice
Specifies the voice you want to use for the Accent beat and the Normal beat of a metronome.
These apply to both the Metronome tool and the metronome which is used for scale practicesessions.
Each voice is makes the sound of a different percussion instrument.
Accent Volume
Normal Volume
Specifies the volume you want to use for the Accent beat and the Normal beat of a metronome.
These apply to both the Metronome tool and the metronome which is used for scale practicesessions.
The volume is specified as a percentage of the maximum possible volume. You may wish to balance this against the instrument volume, which is specified in the Sound page.
Test Metronome
Demonstrates the sound of the metronome using the current settings.
Practice Harmony Voice
Practice Harmony Volume
Specifies the voice and volume of the harmony chord which can be played for scale practice sessions.
The voice names are based on the Voice Names selected in the Sound page.
The volume is specified as a percentage of the maximum possible volume. You may wish to balance this against the metronome volumes and the instrument volume, which is specified in the Sound page.
Test Harmony
Demonstrates the sound of a harmony chord using the current settings.
Play Fanfare on Startup
Specifies whether the characteristic ChordWizard fanfare sound should be played each time it starts up.
Tutorial Sounds Volume
Specifies the volume of the sounds played when clicking hotspots in Tutorials view.
Test Tutorial Sounds
Demonstrates the volume of the tutorial sounds by playing the ChordWizard fanfare.
OK
Accepts any changes you have made to the sound accessories, closes the Sound Accessories window and returns to the Sound page.
Cancel
Closes the Sound Accessories window and returns to the Sound page without making any changes to the sound accessories.
