Scales Bar

The Scales Bar is a small tool bar which appears only in Scales View, usually just above the Practice Panel.  You can show or hide this bar using the Layout settings.

 

The Scales Bar provides a convenient way for you to access common functions which apply specifically to Scales View.

 

 

Buttons

 

 

  Full Positions

Configures Scales View to work with full scale positions.  This will indicate overlay labels on the Fretboard for all scale notes which can be reached from a fret position.

Menu:  Scales-Full Positions

 

 

  Partial Positions

Configures Scales View to work with partial scale positions.  This will indicate overlay labels on the Fretboard for only the scale notes of a single octave at a fret position.  There may be more than one partial scale position at each fret.

Menu:  Scales-Partial Positions

 

 

  Prior Position

Causes the Fretboard to indicate overlay labels for the prior scale position (towards the lower frets).

Menu:  Scales-Prior Position

 

 

  Next Position

Causes the Fretboard to indicate overlay labels for the prior scale position (towards the upper frets).

Menu:  Scales-Next Position

 

 

  Note Overlay Labels

Pressing this button down makes any overlay labels indicate fretboard positions in terms of notes.  Popping it up removes overlay labels from the Fretboard.

Menu:  Filter-Overlay-Note Labels

 

 

  Degree Overlay Labels

Pressing this button down makes any overlay labels indicate fretboard positions in terms of degrees.  Popping it up removes overlay labels from the Fretboard.

Menu:  Filter-Overlay-Degree Labels

 

 

  Color Overlay Labels

Toggles the display of overlay labels on the Fretboard between full color labels, where each note or degree is indicated with a different color, or single color labels, where the same color is used for all labels.

Menu:  Filter-Overlay-Color Labels
