Filter Bar

The Filter Bar appears below the Tool Bar in the ChordWizard workspace.  It can be shown or hidden with the View-Filter Bar menu command.

 

The Filter Bar displays and allows changes to all filter criteria, providing a convenient alternative to the Set Filter window.

You can move between the controls on the Filter Bar using the Tab and Shift-Tab keystrokes.  Many of the controls produce a dropdown area when clicked on, or when the Space or Enter keys are pressed.

 

 

Controls

 

 

Chord Filter

 

This control allows you to make changes to the Chord criteria of the filter.

 

It produces a chord matrix when clicked on, colored blue to indicate that it deals with chords.

 

There a some specific keystrokes that you can use for navigating within a matrix.

 

 

Bass Note Filter

 

This control allows you to make changes to the Chord Bass Note criteria of the filter.  It can be used independently or in conjunction with the Chord filter criteria.

 

It produces a note list when clicked on, colored blue to indicate that it deals with chords.  Only one note may be selected at a time.

 

There a some specific keystrokes that you can use for navigating within a note list.

 

 

Join Criteria

 

This control allows you to decide whether multiple filter criteria will be joined using an And condition or an Or condition.

 

If is disabled if less than two independent filter criteria are currently specified.

 

 

Scale Filter

 

This control allows you to make changes to the Scale criteria of the filter.

 

It produces a scale matrix when clicked on, colored red to indicate that it deals with scales.

 

There a some specific keystrokes that you can use for navigating within a matrix.

 

 

Chordshape Filter

 

This control allows you to make changes to the Chordshape criteria of the filter, in tablature notation, where a question mark indicates a wildcard digit.

 

It is colored green to indicate that it deals with chordshapes.

 

There a some specific keystrokes that you can use for navigating within a chordshape edit control.

 

 

Notes Filter

 

This control allows you to make changes to the Notes filter criteria.

 

It produces a note list when clicked on, colored yellow to indicate that it deals with notes.  More than one note may be selected at a time, as shown above.
