Chordshape Menu

The Chordshape Menu contains commands that relate to the chordshape you are currently viewing or working with.

 

This menu appears only in Library View and Design View, and some of its commands vary between these two views.

 

 

Undo

Reverse the most recent Add, Delete, Edit, Purge or Import operation.  Only one operation can be undone.  This command is disabled if none of these operations have yet been performed on the current library.

Keyboard:  Ctrl+Z

 

 

New

Switches to Design View and clears the current chordshape design so that you start designing a new chordshape.

Keyboard:  Ins

 

 

Edit

Switches to Design View from Library View, so that you can edit the chordshape currently selected in the Library List.

 

 

Delete

Deletes the chordshape currently selected in the Library List, or in the Design Panel.

Keyboard:  Ctrl+Del

 

 

First

Selects the first chordshape in the Library List.

Keyboard:  Home

 

 

Prior Group

Selects the first chordshape in the prior group of the Library List.

Keyboard:  Page Up

 

 

Prior

Selects the prior chordshape in the Library List.

Keyboard:  Up

 

 

Next

Selects the next chordshape in the Library List.

Keyboard:  Down

 

 

Next Group

Selects the first chordshape in the next group of the Library List.

Keyboard:  Page Down

 

 

Last

Selects the last chordshape in the Library List.

Keyboard:  End

 

 

Play

Plays the chordshape currently selected in the Library List, or the current chordshape design in the Design Panel.

Keyboard:  F5

 

 

View Staff

Opens the View Staff window, so that you can see on staff lines the chordshape currently selected in the Library List, or the current chordshape design in the Design Panel.

Keyboard:  Ctrl+F5

 

 

Send To

Sends the chordshape currently selected in the Library List to the library you select from under this submenu.  It is disabled if you do not currently have multiple libraries open.

 

 

Purge

Opens the Purge Chordshapes window, so that you can select a criteria for purging unwanted chordshapes from the current library.

 

 

Add to Library

Adds the chordshape design in the Design Panel to the current library.  This command is enabled only if the chordshape is not already stored in the library.

Keyboard:  Enter

 

 

Search Prior

Searches for the prior chordshape, starting the the current chordshape design, which meets the filter criteria and the Searching Options.

Keyboard:  Up

 

 

Search Next

Searches for the next chordshape, starting the the current chordshape design, which meets the filter criteria and the Searching Options.

Keyboard:  Down

 

 

Search List

Opens the Search List window, which allows you browse a complete list of chordshape search results which meet the filter criteria and the Searching Options.

 

 

Power Match

Opens the Power Match window, where you can analyze a chordshape most thoroughly for possible matching chords.

 

 

Matching Chord-Play

Plays the sound of the matching chord currently selected in the Matching Chord List.

Keyboard:  F6

 

 

Matching Chord-View Staff

Opens the View Staff window, so that you can see on staff lines the matching chord currently selected in the Matching Chord List.

Keyboard:  Ctrl+F6

 

 

Matching Chord-Select Prior

Selects the prior matching chord in the Matching Chord List.

Keyboard:  Ctrl+Up

 

 

Matching Chord-Select Next

Selects the next matching chord in the Matching Chord List.

Keyboard:  Ctrl+Down
